GRS is the global recycling standard:

English name: GLOBAL Recycled Standard (GRS certification for short) is an international, voluntary and comprehensive product standard that stipulates third-party certification requirements for recycling content, production and sales chain of custody, social responsibility and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The content is aimed at supply chain manufacturers’ implementation of product recycled/recycled content, chain of custody control, social responsibility and environmental regulations, and chemical restrictions. Key points of GRS certification:

What are the aspects of GRS certification?

Recycled content: This is the premise. If the product does not have recycled content, it cannot be GRS certified.

Environmental management: Does the company have an environmental management system and whether it controls energy use, water use, waste water, exhaust gas, etc.

Social responsibility: If the company has successfully passed BSCI, SA8000, GSCP and other social responsibility audits, it can be exempted from the assessment after passing the assessment by the certification body.

Chemical management: Chemical management guidelines and policies used in the production process of GRS products.

Access conditions for GRS certification

The proportion of the product in the provincial capital is greater than 20%; if the product plans to carry the GRS logo, the proportion of recycled content must be greater than 50%, so products composed of at least 20% pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled materials can pass GRS certification.
